About Dr. David Adika
With over seven years of clinical practice across diverse and often resource-limited settings, I have developed a strong conviction that technology is central to closing healthcare access gaps in Nigeria and beyond. My time as a Medical Officer in the Nigerian Air Force exposed me to the realities of serving geographically dispersed populations, and working with the NAF Telehealth Platform gave me practical experience in delivering effective care remotely. This experience, combined with my public health training at the University of Port Harcourt, shaped my research focus on digital health interventions and reinforced my commitment to telemedicine as a vehicle for equitable healthcare delivery. I am currently building on this foundation as a Junior Resident in Internal Medicine at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, deepening my clinical expertise to complement my digital health competencies. I am seeking a telemedicine role where I can bring together my clinical experience, remote care proficiency, and public health perspective to deliver meaningful patient outcomes.
